Progress for the Amesbury Carriage Alliance

The Amesbury Carriage Alliance a joint committee of the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce and the Amesbury Carriage Museum has received a $20,000 grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. After a successful fundraising campaign the Carriage Alliance raised the additional $20,000 in matching funds to secure the grant. The grant will allow the Carriage Alliance to pursue a feasibility study with an experience contractor to determine the viability of the Amesbury Carriage Museum and Visitor Center Building Project on Water Street in the Lower Millyard. Read the story in the Newburyport Daily News and check out this video about the project.

The Amesbury Carriage Alliance has worked for many years on the renovation of 29 Water Street. This building is part of the Lower Mill Yard revitalization project and will house the Carriage Museum, the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce offices and the Amesbury Visitor's Center.
