POSITION TITLE:   Campaign and Program Assistant
STATUS: Non-Exempt
SCHEDULE: Part-time - 8 hours/week
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
REVISION DATE: 9/28/2018

1. POSITION SUMMARY

The Campaign and Program Assistant supports two areas of museum operations – the capital campaign and planning programs and events.  The assistant is responsible for maintaining records and confidential information, generating pr and communications, planning programs and events, and assisting in all areas of museum operations.  

2. FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

I. Campaign Assistant

  • Complete tasks needed to completely process incoming donations to the museum and other contact information on Little Green Light.

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and marketing of campaign activities.

  • Contribute to and work collaboratively on campaign implementation.

  • Other duties as needed.

II. Program Assistant

  • Plan, coordinate and present public events

  • Generate social media and promotional materials

  • Generally assist in all aspects of museum programming.

III. Museum Operations

  • Participate in ongoing project planning and museum routines.

  • Work directly with staff, trustees, the public, collectors, and scholars.

  • Provide written reports documenting projects and activities.

  • Other duties as required.

IV. Resource Development

  • Assist in development of proposals and reports to individual, corporate, government, and foundation funders.

All ACM staff members may be called upon at any time, as a member of the team, to work in other areas or take on additional responsibilities when necessary. This document is a general description of the position listed.

VI. Core Document Responsibilities

This position works with highly personal and confidential materials and is responsible for producing or keeping current the following documents:

  • The donor database on Little Green Light

  • Correspondence with donors and the museum community

  • The museum master calendar

  • E-News and other social media and marketing materials

  • Monthly reports

  • other documents related to ACM activities (grant requests, newsletter articles, project reports, etc)

4. QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree – Associate’s degree or higher.

  • Two years experience with museums or community programming.

  • Solid knowledge of social media and marketing methods.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to work with donors and other members of the ACM community.
